Series 5.3 Abstraction 20 “Parade Rain”

I did some decent arting today. Two finished, two more on the way.. feels good. I like when they fall into place like this one did. It became and stayed frustrating for awhile, until within the matter of maybe five minutes, it just came together all at once. It was weird, but very cool – naturally. I’ve noticed that on a few others as well. I think these process’ serve as practices which are part of mastering a craft or style, becoming comfortable with mark making, chaos and the unknown.. which will eventually become, I hope, or emerge as a path worthy of investigation. So, it’s important to stay open to it and push through the walls when I feel like throwing it.

Certainly helps these days when the fucking internet makes me insane because the stream is so inconsistent that I can’t listen to whatever really cool song I really want to listen to all the way through without a dozen interruptions. god damn it sucks.. It’s happening again right now. fuck.

Anyway, I think this painting has something to do with rain at Mardi Gras .. that’s this week, ya?
